Gretchen Sengelmann ’16

Gretchen received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas last year and this is her first year out in the field. She is currently an SLP in the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program at a nonprofit called Easter Seals of Greater Houston. This entails providing language and feeding therapy for infants between birth to three years old in the home setting (however, currently she is providing teletherapy and it’s going better than expected!). She provides parent coaching for families that have a baby/toddler with a developmental delay or a delay due to a qualifying diagnosis such as CP or ASD. She loves her kids and the families that she serves and is very much enjoying her first job as a therapist.
