Matthew Flynn '25 is a Senior CBSC and Music double major with a minor in Data Science from Ashburn, VA. Matt is the music director of General Admission acapella group and a member of the Choral Conducting Mentorship Program. In his free time you will see him with a guitar, reading, or playing badminton

Samantha Weed is a junior B.S cognitive and behavioral sciences major from Connecticut. She joined the cognition in context lab winter of her sophomore year. On campus, she sings in University Singers and General Admission and works as a student ambassador.

Ida Whitney is currently a junior at Washington and Lee University. She is working towards her Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences major along with Biology and Studio Art minors. Coming from Door County Wisconsin, Ida enjoys scuba diving along with hiking and photography. Ida plans to travel and explore different options post-graduation.

Karla Murdock, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology trained in clinical psychology. Her research broadly focuses on associations between stressors and health across development. Her Technology and Health Lab investigates cellphone use, sleep, and indicators of health and well-being.

Wythe Whiting, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology trained in cognitive psychology. His Cognition and Aging Lab investigates how factors such as neural noise affect the attentional performance of older adults.

Savannah Johnson is a junior at W&L, majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Science and minoring in Philosophy and Poverty and Human Capability Studies. She joined the Cognition in Context lab her junior year. She loves learning new things, whether it be through books or experiences. Outside of academic work, you can find her relaxing somewhere in nature, playing golf, or spending time with friends.

Katie Kern is currently a junior at Washington and Lee University studying Cognitive and Behavioral Science and Data Science. On campus, she enjoys working with the Campus Kitchen and the LEAD program, and when she is able to get off campus her favorite activity is watching the sunset at the Blue Ridge Parkway. She hopes to pursue higher education in a field that works with children with developmental disabilities.
