Recent Graduates


Katie Balistreri is a research assistant at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. She primarily works on projects investigating the quality of life of pediatric brain tumor survivors and children born with critical congenital heart defects. She hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology to continue working with families coping with stress due to pediatric chronic illness.




Gretchen Sengelmann is a senior Psychology major and dance minor from Houston, Texas. She is a member of the University Dance Company, a tutor at Maury Middle school, and involved in Reformed University Fellowship.

Esther Choi is a junior Psychology and Chinese double major from Seoul, South Korea. She is a member of PAACE, SAIL (multi-cultural student clubs) and the University Singers.

Liam McElheny is a junior neuroscience major at Washington and Lee University. He is involved with the club soccer team as well as Pi Kappa Alpha.

Crystal Santos is senior Psychology major and Photography minor from Fort Worth, Texas. She is involved in the university theatre costume department, a member of Psi Chi, and recently returned from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Caroline Crichlow-Ball ’15 is a research assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Center for Depression research with the Risk and Resilience Network. She is planning to go to graduate school for clinical-forensic psychology.
